Happy Fourth of July!

It is of course a holiday celebrated here in the US, but I am sure all of you kind readers know about it. Independence Day is a federal holiday which is commemorating the Declaration of Independence that was signed on July 4, 1776. Strangely enough most of us in the US do celebrate with picnics, fireworks, fairs and that type of thing. Don’t ask me how that all got started, but it really is a tradition. Well, in our family today we are celebrating with a nice picnic and that’s where Autumn and I will be a large portion of the day.

Oddly enough the town’s fireworks won’t be set off until Saturday July 7th, go figure! They are pretty and all, but rather noisy and disturbing the cats, dogs and also some of the younger kids among our family. So, we won’t have the stress of that to deal with today and will be having hopefully lots of fun with some very good food. I hope all of you kind readers celebrating have a wonderful day and for those of you who don’t celbrate…Have a happy and beautiful Wednesday!! 🙂 🙂 Gabby and Autumn
