The Beach


Laughter on the beach

well within our reach

as we run along the sand

hand in hand

stopping here and there

without even a care

the sun sets

we almost forget

to turn and see the birds flying so high

against the lovely sky

the beach is where we love to be

so many sights to see

wave after wave at night

it’s a magical sight

here is where we learned our love was true

on the beach is where we say I do …

Shadows Dance


Our shadows dance along the wall

as the music calls

what a lovely dance

part of our romance

the moon joins in

to watch us spin

shining bright

what a night

the music soars above

an echo of our love

life can be such fun, you know

just also keep your mind open to grow

each day is a new chance

and a new dance

so make is count and live

and never give

less than your best

sort of a test

but reach for the stars

maybe ever mars

you never know, it’s time to fly

you never know until you try …

Love is forever and ever

nothing can sever

the bond we share

nothing would dare

our love is too strong

we belong

with each other

never another

my darling man and me

can clearly see

the path before us twists and turns

so much to learn

we got it right

there is lots of light

and love

above

yes, love is forever it seems

it means

the future beckons and calls

yet we won’t fall

we hold on tight

to our love so right …

It really does rock and roll

never taking a toll

Happiness works

and will not hurt

Love so true

it’s everyday, the love we share

off  we go without a care

we know the way

we gladly say

it’s easy once you try, you’ll know

love does grow

day by day

time after time

a beautiful rhyme

of me and you and you and me

a stronger bond, you’ll rarely see

it’s the magic of “us”

and of course lots of trust

your music is like a dream

I love it, it hardly seems

to take but a while

to make me smile

sing to me

you always see
