The Twinnies Are Finally Back and It’s 2013!

Well, it’s been  about five months now since we’ve been away… And this time was so very much-needed by both of us Twinnies. Some of it was spent on vacation time of course. Camping and enjoying the mountains where it is so peaceful was so wonderful. The rest of the time was spent doing some serious rest and relaxation with each of us doing our own things.

I would love to report that we jaunted off to Italy and all over the globe, but alas we stayed right here in the US. It’s been over a year now since Autumn and I have been on Word Press and we honestly do love blogging and interacting with all of you. You kind readers and friends really are the best, we appreciate you all so much never doubt it! However, it’s also a sometimes draining and exhausting thing trying to write everyday, visit blogs and all.

Life gets too busy and time is so short. We had some not very good  things going on in our family that made blogging even more difficult, too. Our Mom was having some health issues and is still not quite her best yet. Several other personal things really did also take over and put blogging on the back burner. I guess it’s not necessary to get into all of it, it all was just very hectic and it still is to some degree. So, it really was good and important for Autumn and I to take some time for ourselves just so we didn’t become too tired, stressed and burned out. We Twinnies hope you all will be understanding and we do promise to try our best to get back in the swing of things, we have missed you all. We both sure really do admire you who do post everyday and sometimes numerous posts as well. Unfortunately these Twinnies can’t promise to do this, but we will be here as often as humanly possible! Hopefully more often than not, we’ll quite honestly just have to see how it all goes and thanks for bearing with us.

Thank you again so very much to all of you kind readers and friends for sticking with us and we send lots of love, hugs and all the very best vibes out to every one of you! Autumn and Gabby 🙂 🙂

Vacation for the Twinnies :)

Hi to everyone!  Gabby and I wanted to let you all know that we are both on vacation.  We’ll be back with new and very fun “stuff”.  We just need a break and this will be perfect weather for it.

We miss you all and hope you are having a great week so far.  Hmm, well sometimes Mondays aren’t too good!

Hugs,

Gabby and Autumn

Happy Fourth of July!

It is of course a holiday celebrated here in the US, but I am sure all of you kind readers know about it. Independence Day is a federal holiday which is commemorating the Declaration of Independence that was signed on July 4, 1776. Strangely enough most of us in the US do celebrate with picnics, fireworks, fairs and that type of thing. Don’t ask me how that all got started, but it really is a tradition. Well, in our family today we are celebrating with a nice picnic and that’s where Autumn and I will be a large portion of the day.

Oddly enough the town’s fireworks won’t be set off until Saturday July 7th, go figure! They are pretty and all, but rather noisy and disturbing the cats, dogs and also some of the younger kids among our family. So, we won’t have the stress of that to deal with today and will be having hopefully lots of fun with some very good food. I hope all of you kind readers celebrating have a wonderful day and for those of you who don’t celbrate…Have a happy and beautiful Wednesday!! 🙂 🙂 Gabby and Autumn

What You Think Upon Grows Day

Well, this is an interesting bizarre and somewhat unusual holiday, isn’t it? It’s today May 31st, sorry not to give more notice, but start thinking now! You all simply have to join in on this one and please share, you just need to! Oh my goodness, I am sounding like a bit of a bossy person but of course you kind readers know that I’m not.

So now,  I must ask you kind readers…How could I resist writing a post on this one?! It can be for the good…What you think upon grows, I have many ideas let me just say. Didn’t anyone doubt it for a minute? Of course I will be happy to share, as will Autumn. She loved this not celebrated on the calendar  holiday when she heard about it from me. Just think and think on it and about whatever you see fit…Then it will just grow!

Now I have a good plan for what I will be thinking upon and watching grow, it will be peace and happiness for everyone on this earth! Yay, I love my idea if I do say so myself and I sure would love to see peace and happiness grow & grow, spread all over! No more bad vibes, mean-spirited things, hatred, fighting, hurting and all the rest of all those sad and bad things.

Autumn says she wants magic to grow and become so powerful that she will join my wishes of peace and happiness! Wow, that Twinnie is so awesome…Imagine what could happen! Well, we will keep thinking upon this all day long, waiting to watch it all grow…So be watching for it kind readers because you never do know.

How about all of you? Any ideas of what you would like to think upon to just grow, it’s up to all of you…But please do feel free to share! This is one very good not celebrated holiday, so let your imaginations just soar! 🙂 🙂

Happy Mothers Day and Some Quotes, Too!

Today is Mothers Day…and Autumn and I would like to wish all Mothers the best and most beautiful Happy Mothers Day! Mothers are special, our Mom is just wonderful and she deserves a wonderful day. We will all get together and celebrate her… her love, kindness, understanding and support knows no bounds. She is the Mom to six of us darling daughters and what a lovely time of it she has had! OK, no jokes, because even though our Mom has a great sense of humor she has had some trying times with us all. There have been many happy times, too and we will all remind her of that! Autumn is a Mom, so I need to wish her a Happy Mothers Day, too with love! I now will present the quotes, please do enjoy them! 🙂

2.Most Mothers are instinctive philosophers~Harriet Beecher Stowe
3.A Mother is the truest friend we have, when trials are heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when troubles thicken around us, still she will cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts~Washington Irving
4.God could not be everywhere and therefore he made Mothers~Jewish Proverb
5.The Mother’s heart is the child’s schoolroom~Henry Ward Beecher

National Lost Sock Memorial Day

Yes today, May 9th is a wonderful holiday! Not celebrated according to the calendar, but again it should be. How many of you kind readers are identifying with this one? I know Autumn and I are so on board with this, lost socks do need a memorial day! I wish I had counted over the years how many socks have been lost. Somewhere between the washer and dryer they just up and disappear! Wherever do all those socks go? I wonder how many of us are asking ourselves that question over and over throughout the years…I have a feeling it’s a lot of people!

Very frustrating it is, those lost socks are no doubt having a good laugh at all of our expense. Perhaps somewhere in the world of lost socks a party goes on everyday. They get together and have many chuckles and as they are all snickering and having a grand time of it… When we all just want to know the answer once and for all! Where are those lost socks? Come on already, it really is so unfair and I demand an explanation!

Yeah, like those lost socks are ever going to come out of hiding and show themselves…No it isn’t going to happen. Hmm…I am just sort of in awe at their sneakiness and wherever they are hiding will no doubt remain a mystery. They are laughing it up at my indignation, at all of us and we can’t even start up a protest either.

Why, you may be asking? Well, it’s common sense of course, they are a secret society and nobody ever is going to solve this mystery! They are just too good at this, the socks have banned together years ago and they win! I can stomp my foot and they just smirk, those lost socks are just plain evil I say! So, today we will all celebrate Lost Sock Memorial Day, let’s pretend we just don’t even care…Any of you kind readers with me on this one? Autumn says, yes she is and that Twinnie gets much more irritated over this than me. Well, that was supposed to be a secret but Autumn says what the heck…Reveal her temper and maybe somewhere those socks (a few of them, anyway) are cowering.

The Twinnie has a worse temper than I do and those socks better remember her magic and the magical friends, so go Autumn! If anyone can get to the bottom of this perhaps the magic will reveal all, Yay! Oops, Autumn just wandered over to my place and told me she has tried…The lost socks are stronger than any magic that exists! Well, just go figure and who would have thought?

OK, we surrender, you stupid socks win and National Lost Sock Memorial Day is rocking stonger than ever…If we can’t win we can have the best celebration ever this year! Who is with us Twinnies? Any thoughts from you kind readers…Autumn and I would love to hear. Sharing is good and healing, we can vent our disgust about this sock thing on this post together! 😉 🙂

National Honesty Day is Today!

April 30th and its National Honesty Day, for real it is! 🙂 Can you believe they actually started a bizarre and unusual holiday for being honest? When I first saw it, I really did have a laugh. It’s like they are insinuating the rest of the days are Let’s Practice Dishonesty Days or let’s all lie?! Who made up this holiday anyway? I thought about this is and it’s kind of serious thing, this business of honesty. Well, for the most part I do believe it’s a given that most people are honest. Of course I do look for the good in anyone and everyone, so I could be wrong. But, I sure do hope not.

It’s odd to me to fathom telling lies, making stuff up or being anything but honest. Why do it and what’s the point? How can people who aren’t honest remember to get those lies or the story straight anyway? I am just not clear at all on that one, it must get awfully burdensome. A sad practice indeed and so unnecessary and I mean that with all my heart. So maybe today is good day for those who have trouble with the honesty factor to give it some thought, maybe? Is that why someone  thought up this holiday? The more I think about it maybe it wasn’t made up just for the heck of it. Nothing to make light of, you know what I’m saying?

I love to laugh, enjoy having a good time and Autumn and I try so hard to make our blog be fun and happy, always. Of course you kind readers know this already. I am not writing this stuff to upset people or give a little lecture of sorts and I certainly don’t want people to be depressed about the subject. It’s something to think about, something to ponder about…I really do like pondering myself. I do it a lot actually, that is clearly obvious I have a feeling. My pondering may be well-known by now!

Anyway, today is National Honesty Day and everybody you decide the best way to celebrate the day! You kind readers make the day what you will, OK? Any thoughts or wanting to share, please do feel free to chime in…Sharing is always good! 🙂

April 14th…What a Good Holiday!

I have to say, this holiday is of course not on the calendar…But it should be! April 14th is International Moment of Laughter Day and how fun does that sound? A moment of laughter here and there all day long sure can add up to one heck of a lot of laughter! Think about it…Something to ponder. Who is with me, ready to embrace this fine holiday?

Of course, as always I ran this one by Autumn and she loved it! We Twinnies do go for the laughter and good times, those downright wonderful vibes of joy. Yay, for laughter because it is good for the soul! 🙂 Who among us can think of one reason not to have and enjoy a moment (or two, maybe three) of good, hearty laughing out of our day? I bet it’s none of you kind readers, am I right? One thing I do have to caution everyone about…Be careful when you choose or decide to laugh. You know what I’m saying? Just don’t randomly burst out in peals of wild laughter while at work, or in a quiet type zone place please! 😉 It could just kind of ruin the day, also have everyone around you wondering what’s up with you. We sure don’t need that type of thing happening, right?

I have always had to be kind of careful with that one even when it’s not International Moment of Laughter Day, so has dear Autumn. Well, we do control ourselves… Or try to anyway! 😉 Why does our friend and Soul Sister Soma come to mind? 😉 And by the way, please do check her blog out and you will be so happy you did. :)Hmm…Well, Soma is much like us Twinnies. But wait, that is a positive thing! 🙂 Soma just simply loves to have a good laugh, so we will all be needing to hear how her “International Moment of Laughter Day” goes for sure! I just have a real good feeling she will be celebrating this one, Go Soma! We know you won’t let us down! 🙂

So come on kind readers, think of the happiness this day could bring to you and your family and friends. If somebody is feeling a little down or low, go cheer them up…Give everybody you know a moment of laughter today! You will be very glad you did, I just know it! 🙂 🙂

Shopping and Driving Among Fools

I know, what a title isn’t it? It’s what today was like being out and about in our little town. Autumn and I  had a few things to pick up here and there. Oh my goodness, for a Wednesday the stores and the whole town seemed to be out shopping. I must admit it kind of made for some hearty laughing among us Twinnies! We seriously did some major laughing at the first stop, we just couldn’t help ourselves either.

Running into the local grocery store for a few things, what did we see? Well, the Easter candy being kind of fought over was a sight to behold. People are something else, aren’t they…Fighting over Easter candy. The husband and wife were not in agreement over the things going into their kids Easter baskets, the wife tugging the chocolate eggs and bunnies away from her husband! Hmm..The husband seemed to put up a good argument, but the wife was clearly winning. Anyway, Autumn and I ducked into the next aisle laughing like crazy. Sorry, we don’t know what the outcome was but we both were betting on the wife. That was the first example of shopping among fools, we saw a couple more and I will be happy to report so never fear. 😉

Next stop for us was the local drugstore for a couple of things, nothing Easter related for us. But… Oh no, a fight over Easter Baskets that had been marked down! Two ladies almost coming to blows over an Easter basket?! They were both wanting this certain one it seemed! Autumn and I had wandered down the parallel aisle and couldn’t help seeing this sight. We Twinnies also had a chuckle over pondering about the poor stuffed animals fate. Well, sorry to say…We headed off to the car before we could witness anymore Easter merchandise pillage! It really is somewhat pitiful to see such behavior, the holidays really can bring out the worst in people.

In driving around it was clear to see people were also forgetting their manners about being courteous drivers. Lots of hand gestures were in bloom as well…And no, they weren’t waving! 😉 It was clear, we were driving among fools, too! The last stop was a small speciality store, we Twinnies were picking up our favorite ice cream. I confess, it’s a guilty pleasure but this place makes the total best chocolate malt ice cream. The place was opened early for the season and Yay we spotted our favorite ice cream, grabbed a pint and headed for the check out. Look out, the place was suddenly packed! Again, people were in a hurry and some shoving broke out…Some guy thought he should be next in line. OK, so this was rather tacky but thankfully the woman he shoved in front of us let him go ahead. She was quite gracious, avoiding a scene….Once again either the holidays bring out the worst in some and this was an example of the best in others.

We Twinnies headed out and escaped the maddening crowds, home safe and sound and eating our ice cream! 😉 🙂
