We have been away from blogging over three and a half months this time around. Little did either of us know what these three months would hold, it has been scary, sad and life changing. Lessons learned and circumstances we are choosing not to share at this time. Please, understand this is not meant to be rude, uncaring or unfeeling to any of you still reading. Life is precious and short and health, family and love are definitely first…Always. We both want to say we have missed you kind readers and friends and truly appreciate you all and how we were welcomed in this blogging world. With all that has gone on and is still happening, we both have agreed that we are very uncertain about returning to Word Press. All we as “Twins Forever” want you all to know that if we are unable to return is… Thank You to each and every one of you for taking the time to read our words and get to know us. God Bless you all…
Hugs from Autumn and Gabby
I seriously didn’t know this fact and was rather surprised to hear about this one. February isn’t the warmest of months in our area or a very popular one for those choosing a wedding date. The other surprise was…Dave and I got married on February 5th and we never knew it was National Wedding Month. Well, as some of you kind readers know already that Dave is in Heaven now, losing the battle to evil cancer 9 years ago. So, I can’t actually tell him about this fact in person anyway…But I’ve got a feeling he already knows the news.
Anyway, to be very honest we also didn’t want to get married on Valentine’s Day because seriously everybody aims for that date. Please don’t get me wrong, no offense to all of those who select Valentine’s Day as their wedding day! Dave and me, well we wanted to stand alone and have our wedding date very special and as unique as we were and it was, too.🙂 Anyway, I was thinking about weddings after reading the fact that its National Wedding Month…Of course inquiring questions kept popping into my head.
Autumn answered one of the questions for me which was thoughtful of her. She said her Darling Man and her will be marrying in one of the warmer months and certainly not on Valentine’s Day or any celebrated holiday. Well, still no date out of the Twinnie and her Darling Man isn’t talking either…They really haven’t set a date yet and that really is the truth of the matter!
How about any of you kind readers thoughts on weddings. It will be fun, chime in with the month you picked to marry. If you haven’t married yet, do you have any particular month in mind? Anybody else marry in this month of February? Do tell please…Sharing is so much fun!🙂🙂
Go ahead everybody, please just do it!🙂 On this day of February 4th is when we should seriously thank our mailman…Or to be more politically correct our mail person/ carrier. After all, there are some girls who decided they would like the job of being out and about delivering the mail, too. I have a feeling they rather would be insisting on being called mail person, don’t you?😉
My goodness, all those brave souls are walking around in all kinds of weather and also dealing with the not so friendly dogs and who knows what else! Six days out of the week they are on the job, just think about it kind readers! That’s a lot of walking and that’s also carrying a heavy mailbag, too. I actually not so long ago had a chat with my mailman, he was spilling the secrets of these neighborhood blocks that surround me.
I must say, it was a surprise to hear that actually there were a few dogs he’s had run-ins with. Also, I heard about some neighbors who waited and watched that clock( rather impatiently sometimes) for the mail to roll in! He told me that unfortunately sometimes he wasn’t treated kindly…Of course that did make me feel sad for him.
It really is always a surprise and kind of shock to me when people aren’t grateful and behave in a not very good manner for those who are doing a good job and helping us. I have a feeling that makes me rather naive, but I seriously can’t help myself. Autumn is much the same way, we Twinnies are always trying to look on the bright and good side as you kind readers already know. Anyway, I intend to thank my mailman today and everyday I happen to see him…Autumn says she is going to do the same, Yay! Who is with us? Will you kind readers please think about the mail carriers today and give them a big thank you if you do indeed happen to see them? It will make for a lot of smiles and that’s what it really is all about, right? Of course it is!🙂
Oh I forgot to mention… Just in case you don’t get a chance to ever see your mailman maybe you could leave them a nice little thank you note! It’s just a thought and trust me, it would make for a very kind and thoughtful gesture and just may make their whole day, too!🙂🙂
Flowers in the snow
well what do you know
Is it magic at work
or merely a quirk?
there is much to be found
Magic flows here and there
there’s always some to spare
So think what you may
what do you say?
It’s a question to ask
and this one’s the last
The flowers just know
that their beauty will show …
This was something I was thinking about after talking with someone I know, only as an acquaintance. Sadly, she is never quite being herself and I do feel sorry for her. Always changing and rearranging herself, it seems so totally exhausting. After all, we do need to be comfortable in our own skins and just be ourselves! As for Autumn and me, well we Twinnies are 100% ourselves at all times. Guess I really didn’t need to say that, since you all already must know this since it is clearly obvious! Needless to say, all this thinking sent me on a search for quotes about being yourself. I did find some wonderful ones and am hoping you kind readers will enjoy reading them!🙂

Whispers on the winds of time
often without reason or rhyme
not making a sound
Is it magic at play
or just winds gone astray?
Listen and learn
there are pages to turn
You hear what you will
and wonder still
Was the message clear
do you hold it so near
Take time as I say
and learn what you may
Whispering winds tell
their secrets so well …
