  5. Congrats on your award. Thank you both SO MUCH for nominating me. I am so touched by your kindness.

I just updated my post http://bareyournakedtruth.wordpress.com/2012/03/11/my-hope-unites-globally-hug-award/

I nominated my brother, Michael Luongo, who truly embodies the spirit of the award with Stand-Up For Kids, his unique assembly program that teaches character through laughter. Please visit http://www.stand-upforkids.com to learn more.

    • You are so welcome, Nicole 🙂 Your brother just sounds like he is definitely very deserving of the award. I bookmarked, it’s a wonderful thing 🙂 I love looking out for the kids, one of my “causes”.

      • My brother works tirelessly and really deserves the national spotlight. Thank you for bookmarking his site. I also share your passion for looking out for kids, as you put it. I have volunteered at an elementary school for the past four years (three years in a Kindergarten class and this year in First Grade). Actually, working with children is my passion – the one thing that keeps me going. There is no better than feeling than positively impacting a child’s life!

        • You two are just super 🙂 I did that volunteering when my daughter was in school. I loved it, I did a lot of that till she was in 7th grade. Kids are so trusting and sometimes that’s not good, as you know. One of Gabby’s and my sister’s has worked in Children’s Services for 20 years so it does make one more aware. I’m a paralegal, that made me see a lot, too. I believe that everyone working together, can reduce child abuse and make the world better for the kids. I’m so happy to know you and your brother are onboard 🙂

  6. I’m happy you are on board, too. I also believe we can all do small things that make a BIG impact on the world – whether that be with our writing, volunteering, philosophy, work, the list goes on!! Are you on facebook? I’d like to add you as a friend.
